My mom and I recently went to Las Vegas, NV to watch the Miss USA pageant. My little brother’s girlfriend Sydnee Stottlemyre is Miss Missouri USA, and we were so excited to cheer her on!
We stayed at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort while we were in town. It has a nice sized pool that we spent a lot of time at during the day. It was 110 degrees one of the days we were there!
One of my favorite restaurants in Las Vegas was Tacos and Beer near the strip. I got a Corona and enjoyed the happy hour tacos. They were so yummy!
We saw “All Shook Up, Tribute To The King” at Planet Hollywood. The Elvis impersonator was so good! It’s worth a see if you are ever in Las Vegas.
The final night of our trip we watched the Miss USA pageant at the T-Mobile Arena. Sydnee did amazing and walked away with a top ten finish! It was so cool to see a national pageant live. I’ve always watched them on TV but had no idea what went on behind the scenes. I had fun watching the production team work hard to make it a great broadcast.
I was a little sad to go at the end of the trip but will hopefully come back someday!
