My Maternity Photoshoot

I didn’t find myself wanting to do a maternity photoshoot until recently. My pregnancy hasn’t been an easy one. I’ve had extreme morning sickness and now have lots of body pain. Getting in a pretty dress and posing for the camera just wasn’t high on my priority list.

But I recently started seeing a lot of maternity photos thanks to the baby events I was going to. I actually met our photographer Crystal at a local baby expo. I was inspired by how her photos celebrate pregnancy and the amazing things a woman’s body can do. And it is truly amazing what our bodies can do. Our baby girl was just the size of a poppyseed a few months ago, and now she’s a 5 lb unborn princess who likes to wiggle when she hears music and gets the hiccups when I eat Mexican food.

Even though it hasn’t been easy, I’m so grateful for this little girl, and I can’t wait to meet her. I feel like these photos celebrate the joy and eagerness we are feeling. Our photographer is Crystal Reddick from Imago Dei Photography in Mid-Missouri. She had a vision for each photo from the beginning and each one is a true piece of art. I highly recommend her if you are in the area!
