We moved into our home almost a year ago. We were freshly married and both first-time homeowners. To say we didn’t know what to expect would be putting it lightly. “What to do when your basement is leaking” and “what is a weed” were both googled within the first month. But we do love our home and have spent the past year making it our own.
One of the first things we did was paint. We painted our bedroom a pretty light blue and got rid of the dark green that was currently in place. We also changed our living room accent wall from brown to a shade of sky blue. We had so much fun arranging the items we already owned and also purchasing a few items. One of our favorite purchases was our kitchen table. Kyle watched it decline in price at a furniture sale for weeks before we finally bought it. We love the dark wood with the matching bench. It’s perfect for our kitchen.
I decided to film this house tour now because our House Hunters episode recently came out, and I thought it’d be fun to share what the house looks like all moved in. Of course, there are still things I’d like to do with it, but here is where we are at now:
